In the production process of 70 silicon ferroalloy, external refining is a crucial step, which plays a crucial role in improving product quality. The blowing process is an important part, which involves blowing a specific mixture of gases into the 70 silicon iron alloy melt to remove impurities. You can choose a mixture of one or several gases in any proportion, including enriched oxygen air, oxygen, and chlorine. The blowing pressure is between 2 and 8 atm, the flow rate is 0.1 to 1 hm3/min, and the time is 0.5 to 5 hours. This blowing operation can effectively remove various metallic or non-metallic impurities such as Al, Ca, C, S, Ti, P, Mn, Cr, Mg, Cu, V, Ni, etc. from silicon iron alloys. For example, when an appropriate amount of chlorine gas is blown in, it can react chemically with certain impurities, converting them into easily separable substances.


The slag making process is equally indispensable. Add a certain amount of synthetic slag to the 70 silicon iron alloy melt, which includes one or several components such as quicklime, quartz sand, fluorite, iron phosphorus, and alkali metal oxides. The addition amount is 5% to 25% of the melt amount of 70 silicon iron alloy, and the duration is 0.5 to 5 hours. Through this method, it is also possible to selectively remove those impurity elements. For example, quicklime can form stable compounds with some impurities, thereby achieving the separation of impurities.


It is worth noting that the above-mentioned blowing refining process and slag refining process can be carried out separately or simultaneously, and the specific selection depends on the actual production situation and product requirements.
